During the beginning of the video, the lighting and colours used were very bright and colourful because Rihanna was very happy and joyful. The director then showed us a close-up of a gun which changed the mood as we realise that there is a element of danger. The next scene is Rihanna on the beach explaing why she killed him. The lighting becomes dark and gloomy and their are various close-ups of the children's faces and here we see the pain and anger in their eyes. The scene were Rihanna is seen getting sexually assaulted, the lighting becomes dark and everything is black. The camera tracks the man as he is making his way to Rihanna. This makes us feel scared for her.
